The analysis of white blood cells includes quantitative determination of white blood cells with a five part differential counting neutrophiles, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophiles and basophiles. The system requires only one drop of blood – less than 10µL – from a finger stick or venous sample. In the container the blood is either diluted or lyzed depending on the type of analysis to be performed. Unisensor instruments may be connected to a network where haematologists have direct access to the results being performed. An outpatient may perform his own analysis. The result is automatically transmitted to the specialist, who evaluates the results and based on the result advice his client. The Hemocue WBC analyser is based on Unisensor core technology.
Unisensor develops and provides point-of-care systems performing cellular analysis of red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, and platelets.
